Hiring Styrmir and Heiðdís for a couples photoshoot in Iceland was one of my best life decisions. Our photos are absolutely incredible. And almost more importantly, my husband and I had a tremendous time shooting with them. Photoshoots aren’t always the most comfortable experience, but the day we spent traveling around Iceland with Styrmir and Heiðdís was one of the highlights of our visit to Iceland. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.
Styrmir and Heiðdís were incredible to work with for our engagement shoot in May 2024! We had never done a formal photoshoot before and were nervous about the process, but they instantly made us feel at ease. The photoshoot was so much fun and flew by, and our pictures are stunning. Thank you so much- We had such an amazing time shooting with Styrmir & Heiddis. We got to explore Iceland and take our engagement photos at the same time. They make you feel really comfortable and not awkward at all. Our pictures were so beautiful. I love their photography and editing style – very natural, raw and organic! I highly recommend them for any special event.
- They made the day of our shoot absolutely magical. It was a chilly, rainy Icelandic day and they had no problem with it whatsoever. Despite the weather, they were friendly and made conversation the entire time. It really helped my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera, and made it feel like a fun adventure more so than being in front of a camera.
- Right away we could tell that they knew their stuff; we couldn’t wait to learn some hidden secrets of our bucket list destination. And, to meet two strangers but immediately feel welcome was a comforting thought, especially when trying to plan something across the world.
- Styrmir and Heiðdís photographed the best day of our lives, and in doing so became a part of it. We can’t recommend them enough; not only are the photographs beyond anything we could have even imagined, but we absolutely loved having them with us. They were so discreet and calm and creative, they know the area, the weather and the light in a way only Icelanders can, and really worked with us to make us and our guests feel comfortable and relaxed which was so important. We will treasure our beautiful wedding photographs for as long as we live.
- Cannot recommend these two enough! They are such kind people who spend so much time with us over the weekend and really pushed us to get to some amazing places. They were super accommodating and made us feel completely at ease during our shoots. We had around 60 folks come to the wedding in Iceland and not only did we get all the “normal” ceremony shots, we also journeyed out into nature and took some really breathtaking photos in the nearby national park. Could not be happier with the process start to finish!
Styrmir and Heiðdís are THE most incredible photographers who played an integral role in making our Iceland wedding truly memorable. From the moment we came across their work on Instagram, we knew they were the ones we wanted to photograph our wedding day. Their passion for photography and their deep appreciation for the Icelandic landscape is abundantly clear in all aspects of their work.- Where do I begin a review for the most perfect photographers in the world?! Styrmir and Heiðdís truly made our wedding day the most magical day I could ever imagine. Having Styrmir and Heiðdís at our small (23 person) wedding felt like we invited two more friends to spend the day with us. They embraced us being completely ourselves and captured our true emotion in ways I didn’t know was possible.
- They were friendly and easy-going, helping us at the beginning to ease into the situation of being photographed at popular places and watched by tourists. They were invisible when needed to have an intimate moment but very present when needed reassurance. The photos are amazing, not just from a personal view, but because it is an award winning photographer duo, who can feel instantly who you are and catch that moment that you don’t even realise was important until after it was gone. It is not just capturing the memories but being in possession of true art from two amazingly talented artists.
