It’s about time we shared more of the local weddings we shoot every year. And the wedding day of Fríða & Ágúst might be the perfect example of a country side summer wedding in Iceland.
These two beautiful people knew exactly what they wanted and executed it perfectly. Their wedding attire was all designed in Iceland and their venue was the ever beautiful Hotel Búðir in West Iceland. They then made a deal with the weather gods for the perfect weather in what had, up until then, been the rainiest summer in a century.
They then crammed all their family and friends into a tiny black church for an emotional ceremony. Followed by a walk with us playing in the sun and shadows creating some beautiful portraits around the stunning landscapes of Snæfellsnes. Then a wonderful dinner and reception at the hotel filled with laughter and good times that ended with a party long into the late summer night.
