After weeks in front of the computers editing images we decided to run away from it all in the beginning if December and spend some time among the trees in Scotland. We used the limited December daylight to explore the nature, castles and villages of the highlands. Driving along winding, narrow roads on the scary left side of the road. Wandering around lochs, hearing the wind in the trees, red squirrels running around us and the low December sun wrapping everything in glorious light. Our nights were spent in a small cottage, reading books in front of the fireplace with out a care in the world. For the second part of our trip we drove, again on the scary left side of the road, to Edinburgh for a completely different experience of Scotland. Getting lost in the hustle and bustle of the city, eating at fancy restaurants, visiting jazz clubs and even breaking out of our introverted shells to ask a waitress if we could photograph her, to our surprise she said yes. We then finished this little Scotland adventure by doing a short photo session with two young lovers among the streets of Edinburgh, that we will put up on our blog soon. But this is definitely not our last visit to this amazing place that feels both familiar and completely different at the same time.
