Why would two apparently sane lovers shove all the people they care the most about in this world (and a cellist) into two trucks with giant tires and then charge with them through one river after the other? It’s simple really, for the adventure. Creating a once in a lifetime experience for your loved ones and yourself to remember for the rest of your days.
Ashley & Ryan’s wedding day was one for the books. They got ready for their day at a cute country hotel on the south coast of Iceland. One emotionally charged first look later they hoped into two giant superjeeps with all their friends and family and made their way up into the highlands of Iceland, to the valley of Thor or Þórsmörk. They all hiked into a remote canyon with not another soul around for miles and had a beautiful ceremony with just the right “tear to laughter ratio” with the melancholic cello giving it that extra touch. To warm up the crowd after standing in on and off drizzle for 40 minutes Sara, the wedding planner from the Pink Iceland dream team, poured them all shots of Icelandic brennivín.
A truly adventurous photoshoot followed, where we guided them through birch forests, up steep hills to beautiful lookouts, explored the barren landscapes beneath an outlet glacier before taking off our shoes to wade across a stream to reach one of the most beautiful waterfalls in south Iceland.
