Journal

This isn’t just a journal.
It’s a living archive of windswept vows, mist-drenched kisses, and love that doesn’t care for the rules. Every post is a flicker of something true - captured in rain, carved into lava, wrapped in wool and wonder. These aren’t styled shoots. These are real humans, wild in love, letting Iceland write its way into their story.

Come read the myths we didn’t make up. Just witnessed.

Fjaðrárgljúfur Elopement // Caitlin & Dillon

This winter elopement takes you on a journey from an old, stylish apartment close to down town Reykjavík through the wintery landscapes of the south coast. Visiting the frozen canyon of Fjaðrárgljúfur, exchanging vows and rings in the largest lava flow in recorded history…

Westfjords Engagement // Alexis & Mark

We are often asked what our favourite place in Iceland is and for the past few years the answer has always been the same: the West Fjords. It's hard to put into words why, but this pretty remote and funny looking peninsula that juts out of north west Iceland has a special kind of…

Hotel Búðir Wedding // Hannah & Jeff

We want to share with you this little love story of a small group of people that battled the fierce wind to gather together in a small black church to laugh and cry together. To others this might just seem like a small wedding gathering at the edge of the world but…

Iceland Wedding Photographer // Beau & Erica

Beau and Erica came all the way to Iceland after years of marriage and a few kids, from Ohio to renew their vows under a waterfall in gale force winds. Iceland in the fall has some of the prettiest weather but also some of the craziest so there is no way of knowing what you are going to get.

Iceland Wedding Photographer // Belinda & Terry

We learned a long time ago that there is no use in getting annoyed by the weather you just have to embrace what ever the weather gods throw your way and work with it. And that brings us back to Belinda and Terry. They embraced all the weather they got on their wedding day and they got it all. From gale force winds and rain up in the mountains to pockets of calm down by the ocean.

Iceland Wedding Photographer // Blake & Joanne

We headed out just before sunset to get the best light and made a quick stop by a lake with crazy rock formations that must have been trolls in their past life, then we drove past lava fields and sulphur smelling hot springs and finally found our selves driving along a sketchy road we had never been down before.

Iceland Wedding Photographer // Eiríkur & Esther

Some weddings start at the edge of the world and of all the weddings we've shot none have been closer to that edge than this one. It took place in Árneshreppur in the Strandir region on the Westfjords of Iceland. A magical place you have to visit in person to truly understand. It's raw, mysterious, infinitely beautiful and remote, very remote. There is a small population that lives there year round, huddled together during the winter months blocked off from the rest of the country when the mountain passes fill up with snow. When summer comes for it's short visit the place is transformed into a paradise and paradise sounds like a good spot for a wedding.

Iceland Wedding Photography // Bre & Ian

These two beautiful human beings with their perfect hair just got married a few days ago in the mountains in West Virginia. But in the beginning of this year we had the honor of driving them to the airport in Iceland.
